永康五金产业集群是中国唯一的"世界级五金产业集群"，被誉为"中国五金之都"，与日本、德国并称"全球电动工具三强"。以保温杯、滑板车、防盗门、电动工具等小五金起家，发展为车业、门业、杯业、电动工具、电器厨具、装备制造和新材料八大现代五金产业。

五金产品畅销全球194个国家和地区；通过义乌小商品城辐射全球网络，经宁波舟山港海铁联运出口。保温杯全球市场份额约1/3，防盗门全国70%。2026年永康推进“永康五金品牌出海”行动，计划组织40个以上团组、800家次企业赴境外拓市场，海铁联运集装箱量力争达12万标箱。

永康五金手工业历史悠久，有"百工之乡"美誉。改革开放后，永康人从打铁、修锅、小五金起家，逐步形成保温杯、滑板车、防盗门等产业。1996年首届中国五金博览会在永康举办，中国科技五金城建成。从"小五金"升级为"现代五金"八大产业，2024年五金产业总产值突破千亿。
